DHIS is a client-server based system architecture primarily meant for updating DNS for hosts that have dynamic IP addresses. With DHIS you can have your computer always recognised and available on the Internet with the same unique name, even if its IP address changes frequently.

DHIS is ideal for home users with broadband always-on Internet connections, that have dynamic IP addresses, but still wish to run a home server accessible by others at all times seamlessly. In order to use it you will need a piece of software called the DHIS client, which you can find here, plus a DHIS registred account.

We provide free hostnames under the dhis.org domain. In order to create, delete or manage your hosts please register and login to the Web Control Panel.
